Atlanta, GA – March 31, 2011 -Thrive Technologies, Inc, announced today that Buttery Company LLP, based in Llano, Texas, has implemented Thrive’s SaaS inventory replenishment software to improve their inventory performance. Thrive Technologies is an award-winning provider of web-based inventory forecasting and replenishment systems for distribution intensive companies.
Founded over 100 years ago, the Buttery Company delivered their early goods via team drawn wagons. Currently, the company has grown as a hardware distributor to service most of Texas as well as parts of Oklahoma and New Mexico. As it has grown, it has diversified into becoming a lumber business, a plumbing supply outlet (Abilene, TX), a power lawn equipment distributor, an electrical supplier, and an extensive farming and ranching supplier in addition to retaining its traditional hardware business.
Due to their growth, the Buttery Company was starting to run out of warehouse space, and was looking for a way to keep inventory levels down if at all possible without jeopardizing their service levels. Says William Buttery of Buttery Company, “We went with Thrive’s software to improve our inventory performance based on the very positive feedback we got from Thrive’s other customers.”
Thrive’s SaaS system allows companies to define their strategic service and profitability goals in the software, and then translates those goals into daily tactical inventory replenishment. For each item that a company stocks, Thrive analyzes over 40 variables daily that could impact demand or supply, such as seasonality, promotions, vendor discounts, or changes in lead times. The software alerts buyers before issues occur (e.g., stock-outs, excess stock) while the user still has time to prevent the problem. Thrive customers typically reduce their inventory as a percentage of revenues by at least 15% while reducing stock-outs.
