If you have multiple warehouses, are you stocking the optimal levels of inventory at each warehouse to maximize sales?  Some items sell better in certain areas than in other areas.  Certainly snow blowers are going to be needed in Northern states for the winter much more than in Florida or Arizona.  Of course, that is an obvious example – most regional demand is much more subtle.  But unoptimized inventory across multiple locations is hurts you in two ways: costing you sales in the regions where demand is higher, yet sucking up your investment and inventory carrying costs in regions where demand is lower.

We can take demand at the state or zip code level and tie it to that region’s warehouse, creating forecasts that optimally use the regional demand to put inventory in the closest warehouse where that inventory is needed most.

If you pay shipping for your customers, you can reduce shipping costs by fulfilling orders from the warehouse that is closest to the customer.
